Good Morning!

We loaned one of our cars to a family member for a few days, so since I had an appointment later today and needed a car, I got up and took Scott to work at 5:30 this morning!   Bless his heart, Scott does this every day, but for me…… that’s early!

I came back home at 6:00 am – what to do now??   Too awake to go back to bed, so I may as well start my day.   I showered and got ready for the day, made my breakfast shake, cooked chicken off the bone (to put in freezer for later meals), seared a roast and put it in crock pot (it will be melt-in-your-mouth by dinner!), had devotional time with God, washed dishes, checked email, even checked FB!     All this was done by 8:00 – in the morning, not evening!    I almost felt like a Proverbs 31 woman – except my “children did not rise up and call me blessed”, they were still sleeping. 🙂

What a productive morning!   I’m just imagining all the extra things I can get done if I get up at that time everyday……. nah!!!   I really do enjoy sleeping in (especially in the summer), but maybe every now and then, I just might arise early to repeat this morning!

“When morning gilds the skies my heart awaking cries:
May Jesus Christ be praised!
Alike at work and prayer, to Jesus I repair:
May Jesus Christ be praised!

When you begin the day, O never fail to say,
May Jesus Christ be praised!
And at your work rejoice, to sing with heart and voice,
May Jesus Christ be praised!”
