Looking back over my week, one of the highlights was BSF last Tuesday. Over 200 ladies, lifting their voices and singing (what I call the BSF theme song), “Trust and Obey”. It was beautiful!!!
I remember singing this old hymn as a little girl, but it wasn’t until I was much older and have grown in my faith with God that the words really started to minister to me and I understood a little more what they mean…..
“When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey.

So basic and yet so hard. This is what God wants from us, to simply Trust and Obey!
